Chickpeas have high protein and fiber content. Chickpeas appear in Creamish -Yellow, Black, Green & Brownish Red Colors, with mainly two varieties termed as Kabuli Chana and Desi chana. India is one of the largest Chickpeas producer in the world. The growing export trend of Indian chickpeas is because of the quality grown here is in high demand all over the world.

White Chickpeas or Kabuli Chana appears Creamish and is larger in size than Desi Chana. Kabuli chana is generally sold by count &size in millimeters. Exported sizes ranging from 7-8 MM, 8-10 MM, 10-12 MM. Desi Chana or Chickpeas are generally Brownish Red in color and are smaller in size than Kabuli Chana. Exported size ranges around4-7 MM. Indian Chickpeas are grown in moderately heavy soil with the beginning of February.
